I’ve been on the program for 1 month now and find myself disappointed. I’m not “going” as much as everyone talks about and I’ve actually gained weight! They say it’s just water weight – but still!

Please tell me if you experienced this.

There are reasons you may not be eliminating as much waste as others on the program. Have you called and talked to support? They’re really good about helping you fine tune the program to your specific needs.

After you talk to support, if you still have questions, please feel free to contact me.

Thanks –

Yes – I’ve called them – they just said sometimes that happens, regarding the weight gain. They recommended trying a probiotic. I’m not sure if I should continue and buy month 2.

When I first started doing a cleanse nothing happened. With tough cases, like I was, it’s a matter of sticking with it consistently, which is hard to do when you don’t see immediate results. If you aren’t doing the Toxinout at the same time, I would really recommend it if you’ve had any contact with pestisides, petroleum products and/or chemicals.

If you’re not happy with your results I would recommend two things. Increase your fiber to 1½ scoops and brew your tea longer. The fiber helps add bulk and with the herbs cleans the inside of your digestive tract and the tea increases the peristaltic action of the large intestine, which helps get all the guck stuck there moving. The more compacted the plaque is, the harder it is to get it broken up and outta there. If you aren’t feeling crampy at night you haven’t brewed the tea long enough. The longer the tea brews the stronger it is, so this is a personal adjustment. Terry and I don’t time the brewing anymore. We pour boiling water over the teabag and leave it sit until we get to it, which is some time between 20 and 30 minutes. We squeeze the teabag to get the extra umph. This may be too much for you, so proceed slowly.

I’ve been taking a good probiotic for along time. It really helps. I’ve improved to the point the probiotic that comes with Colonix is sufficent. If you get a probiotic, make sure you get one that has LOTS of different types of probiotics and is recommended to be refridgerated (live acidopholus culture). Those seem to work the best. Another thing that might help is to get the Dannen yogurt with activia. Terry’s taking that (he’s tall and skinny, not short and chubby like me) and it’s really helped him.

Yell if I can help any further.

How are you doing now? Any progress?

Thank you so much for your email. I just started my second month. There was a bit of delay with starting the 2nd month because I was sick. It’s about the same but I don’t feel as bloated – perhaps my body is getting used to the fiber. Nothing “interesting” has come out of my body yet and I still don’t “go” a lot. : (

I’m seeping the tea for a while and I don’t know if there is anything that I can do or change – maybe something will happen this month. The customer service dept mentioned to me that a lot of people see results during their 2nd month so we shall see. I don’t think I’m going to continue for the 3rd month – I think it really depends on how my 2nd month goes. I’ll keep you updated.

Are you having cramping? How soon do you go to the bathroom when you get up?

I think I got a jumpstart because I was already on a cleansing program, though it was nowhere near as effective as Colonix. I’ve got 5 weeks left to go and I still think the program rocks. I’m doing stuff I haven’t been able to do in decades. To finally be healing is like a dream come true.

I think I’m going to have to back off on how long I brew the tea. I’m getting up at 5:30 to go to the bathroom! I’d like to at least sleep 7 hours before I have to get up and go! <ROFL>

I’ll keep checking on you to see how you’re doing.

In the beginning, I was experiencing cramping – but not anymore. I time the tea so I go to the restroom like at 7 – 7:45am. I find the tea to be the real drag because if you drink the tea too early in the evening, you will have to wake up to go. There have been times that I actually fell asleep and woke up thinking “shoot, I have to brew some tea!” I try to drink the tea no earlier than 9:30 – 10pm and I just hate getting out of bed to do so!

I’ve considered brewing it earlier in the day so I don’t have the hassle right before I go to bed. I haven’t read anything about it working better if you drink it hot, so thought I’d try. Terry likes it hot and loves drinking it right before bed. We go to bed about 11, so I put the water on for our tea at 10, then steep it 20 minutes, then drink it with the probiotics we’re ready for bed by 11. I had a really bad cold and went to bed early a couple days, but Terry brewed mine for me and brought it to me in bed at the regular time. What a sweetheart.
