I found myself very intriged reading your testimonial this morning regarding the cleansing product, and it appeared to me that you have done a good bit of research regarding it! I have been thinking about using this product, but wanted to check out the various herbs used in the product before purchasing it. I found on a couple of sites that senna leaf (in the tea) is not recommended for use for more than 2 weeks (10 consecutive days) due to risk of dependency. I also found out that myrrh may cause diarrhea and inflammation of the kidneys. Licorice root should not be used for more than 4-6 weeks. Aloe vera is considered a very powerful laxative at high doses and it should not exceed recommended doses (which honestly, I’m not quite sure what that is).

What is your knowledge of these herbs and can you offer me any insight into this??

I think it’s important to do research on anything you take. There are a lot of herbals that have cautionary attachments. And when they’re combined, the cautionary attachments can change or be modified. I don’t have a doctorate in herbals, so I have to trust the people who put this together do know what they’re doing. This product has been on the market since 2003 and I’ve seen nothing about dependency. I think this is a question for support at DrNatura.com, and I would definately recommend reading the site FAQ.
